If I hear one more person say ''I don't read" or "I don't like to read" I will literally scream! COME ON PEOPLE! You don't like to read? Bet your kids don't like to read either? Shame! I'm not asking you to read one of them thick Harry Potter books or the dictionary, I'm just asking you to read my little 2 minute blog. I bet y'all are the "I'd rather watch the movie" kind of folks. Well everyone knows the books are better then the movie, ask my sister Cece and my Friend Jynique. We were suppose to be in a book club and our book of choice was The Hunger Games, now my friend Chae and I read the books so we knew what to expect when the movies came out. Tell me why these girls are yelling in the theater "Where is Peta? Where is Peta?" First of all we are black so people already assume we are going to be talking through the movie and be loud, assumption gone! Chae and I were just like "You should have read the book, then you'd know where Peta was." I'm telling you when you read it stimulates the mind, the details written in those pages are just...ugh just read a book people! Movies end after 2 hours and the sequels may or may not be as good as the first, and not to mention they can replace some of your favorite characters with just anyone. With a book the imagination of the author and your imagination just merge to become something so great. People don't always watch a movie more then once because it was good, they watch it again because film makers haven't came out with anything worth watching yet, leaving you with the same old same old. With a book you read it again and again, because it takes you away to a new world, to a place you could never traveled. You become the character, the connection you make with that character, its just satisfying! So go read a book, I don't care which just do it, read to your kids, something! Ok I'm done ranting, hope you enjoyed the read!
