My Dad always says "If you don't make time to pray, you won't find time to pray!" It's so true and I believe that works for other things too. If I don't make time for my art then I won't find time for my art, and finding time always seems to be the problem right? WRONG! The problem is you, well me. My problem is just making time, but sticking to that time! I have set aside one day of the week to work on my art, yet I rarely get anything done. Instead of doing my work I allow other things to take priority of this designated time. If you're like me...DON'T DO THAT! If we set this time out for a specific purpose we need to do it, even get down to the amount of hours designated for it. Lets be real, if you're not a morning person like myself then don't lie to yourself and say you're getting up at 7am to work, cause we all know you'll snooze your alarm at least 3 more times before actually getting up. Lets start small, set realistic goals like... I'm going to work on a painting for 6 hours today starting at 9am with a break for lunch in between. All I know is we just gotta get 'er done! I believe Art Williams said it best "Just Do it!" I'll link his very inspirational speech below! No more excuses people! Grab a note book, pen and your favorite hot...or cold drink and lets get started and I don't mean tomorrow or after you drop off the kids, I'm talking about now as in right now. I know you're in line at the grocery store, but this is the perfect time to create a list of materials you'll need to begin work, so pull out your phone, the people in front of you will be there for another 5-10 minutes, so get to typing. You got this, remember JUST DO IT!
