The Dream Garden: Part 1

Click on the video below to hear me read my blog aloud.

Ok so I've been thinking about doing something different, like give you an opportunity to hear my voice through my writing. So I am recording this sort of voice over as you read my blog. That way when I emphasize certain things like my frustration or when I find something just laughable you'll really understand or at least kind of feel what I'm saying. Your welcome non readers. Great now that we have that covered lets move along and get to what I really wanted to talk to you about. I think you guys are getting to know I like to use my metaphors, so todays metaphors is about your dreams and gardening. Ok so we're clear, your dreams equal a seed in which you will be tending to like a gardener would a plant. Uh, uh, uh, wait you can't just plant your dream anywhere, different dreams require different soil and different environments, like how some plants prosper more in the sun light which means Alaska is out of the question, it's dark half the time anyway. Before I make things complicated, lets talk about your dream, first, what is your dream? Think about where and how you want your dream to grow, is your dream one of those flowers that sprout right up or only blossoms when someone finds their true love? Ok I know I'm getting off into fairytale mode, but hey we're talking about a dream garden soooo, I guess I'm fine. So have you chosen your soil and location? Great! Now I know some of you have already begun your gardens so let me catch everyone else up. When placing your dream in the ground make sure to dig deep or else a bird could come and pluck it up or in our case someone can come and uproot your dream before, well it takes root. They will do this unknowingly of course saying things like "That's your dream" or "That's not gonna make any money, you should do this instead" or flat out say "That's stupid". Yes I'm talking from experience, no I'm not bitter, but those haters will see one day! I mean it's not entirely their fault some people say these things because they can't see what God has given you. So do it, whatever it is, if you don't it, it will just sit there, no one will touch it, no one will plant it for you, because what God has for you no one can take. Now that we've planted our dream we need to water it, meaning you need to do something toward your dream EVERYDAY! Post something on a wall, leave an alarm on your phone, something, because 'Out of sight out of mind' is not a myth. What will help with this is placing your plant I mean your dream in one of those cute planting pots, oh yeah, the ones that hang from the ceiling. Now that your dreams have been planted its time to watch them grow, but not me, I've got my own dream to water. Plus you non readers are probably having a heart attack right now, so stay tuned for the next installment of The Dream Garden and I will show you how to nurture your dreams! Ciao for now!
